The Role

With the overview of our senior and mid product designers, you will complete small tasks as part of wider projects. This will include estimating tasks, communicating progress or blockers in stand-ups and preparing your designs for reviews. You will be in constant interaction with other departments and clients. You will be responsible for presenting your work to senior designers and make them see the positive impact of your designs. Your work will be outcome-focused, user-centred and data-informed. You will share your work early and often, seeking feedback from across the board. You will be part of a talented team of Designers, Researchers, Developers, Account Managers and Project Managers. 


Your Manager will help you achieve your goals and enable you to create your best work. You will have regular 1-2-1 sessions and training budget to make sure you get the best out of your time at Graphite and build upon your existing skillset.



Your responsibilities


  1. Complete design tasks set by senior designers
  2. Estimating tasks and communicating progress or blockers in stand-ups
  3. Preparing your designs for design reviews
  4. Use your tools efficiently while keeping files tidy and versioned. Your work needs to be easily understandable by your peers.
  5. Great timekeeping & following Graphite’s employee process.
  6. Learn and follow Graphite’s Design process, pillars and values.


Skills & Experience Required


  1. One of the following experiences: A design diploma, 1 year of demonstrable self-initiated design projects, 1 year of experience in a commercial environment.
  2. Sketch or Figma experience is a must.
  3. Capacity to create prototypes (e.g: Invision)
  4. Some understanding of usability and accessibility in web or mobile applications.
  5. You have some understanding of Design Thinking, Atomic Design, UX and research
  6. Desirable but not essential: Worked with design systems or at least components.
  7. Desirable but not essential: Experience working in multidisciplinary teams (UX designers, UI designers, Researchers)
  8. Desirable but not essential: You have worked in Pharma and Healthcare.
  9. Desirable but not essential: You have worked within an agile environment (stand ups and sprints)

 £17,000 to £28,000 a year (Depending on experience)
