Delivery Director 


Role

Graphite is seeking a Delivery Director to lead our expanding Delivery team as we continue to progress our growth plans for 2021 and beyond. Our ideal candidate will be a natural collaborator and will be a valued member of our senior leadership team who will drive forward our delivery strategy and deliver against our key business objectives. 

Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating Delivery strategies that support wider business objectives, they will also have worked in agile and lean agency side delivery, ideally with experience at a senior level, and be able to lead a team of Project Managers whilst ensuring best practice and modern design delivery methods are consistently applied to our work, helping our squads to get the best possible outcomes for our customers.  


They will have a focus on continuous improvement for our delivery team and the way that they interact with the wider agency. Ultimately, ensuring that as we grow and new talent is onboarded as we continue to refine our process and ensure high quality of process throughout the agency. 

Our chosen candidate will help us to continuously improve the way our delivery team works with clients to drive quality work and client satisfaction, and ensure we deliver commercially against our targets. 


Responsibilities

They will have full line management duties for our project managers, helping them grow and develop over time. They will be supporting them with their development as leaders as they begin to take line management responsibilities for their junior colleagues. 


In addition to managing the team, the candidate will have responsibility for monitoring performance. Reporting on a regular basis, on overall project delivery and ensuring accurate reporting and project planning in the agency toolset.


The Delivery Director will work closely with our Commercial Director and Creative Director to continually evolve our vision for how to deliver our core products. This will involve planning and designing the appropriate delivery method, resource profile, and upon commencement ensure projects are run in line with the agreed process and meet the defined targets. 


The successful candidate will be expert at creating value and managing risk, and be willing to learn about our user-experience and design disciplines to enable. They will support all members and functions of the team when it comes to delivery, ensuring the best possible outcomes for Graphite, our customers and most importantly their customers.


Requirements

  • Track record of producing delivery strategies that support the business’ goals and mission.
  • Broad digital product knowledge with an appreciation of all the skills required to develop high-quality design & strategy work.
  • Managed a team of project managers from all levels
  • Strong experience as a project director, working in a client-facing environment.
  • Proven track record of overseeing the simultaneous delivery of multiple digital projects such as complex website design and strategy works
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology
  • Innovative problem solver with the ability to apply a rigorous analytical approach to identify issues and deliver solutions quickly


Nice to have

  • Experience of managing projects / programmes within regulated industries including healthcare & pharma
  • Experience at senior level in a large Digital Agency
